Download Library
The following page is the modern continuation of the "Archive" site previously on this domain. It includes various files to download.
(X-Cop Fly Company software has been moved to the “Software (TI calculator)” tab above.)
(Page last updated on May 22, 2010.)
“REPEAL THE 17TH AMENDMENT” BUTTONS: This is a ZIP file containing six Web buttons in favor of repealing the 17th amendment to the United States Constitution.
There are plenty of Web sites devoted to this issue, including ArticleV.com and National States Rights Coalition. There is also a Repeal the 17th Amendment Blog with an affiliated Yahoo group.
All of these Web buttons are in the public domain. Click here to download “Repeal the 17th Amendment” Web Buttons.

PAUL PEDRIANA’S HEARTS FOR WINDOWS: Highly customizable software, computer players can say your own preprogrammed quotes and sounds during the game. The official page was down for years, and the file was recently unavailable after Winsite shut down. My package is a ZIP file which includes the game, documentation lifted from the Internet Archive’s cached copy of the official page, and various retro and modern decks. Click here to download Hearts for Windows.
DLS FILES: You’re better off downloading the SynthFont MIDI player. While still in development, it shows promise and will get better over time. It has lots of advanced features, including scale tuning and an awesome piano roll visualization.
If you’re looking for a more standard interface, XMPlay is a free, more-modular Winamp-Classic-style player – the MIDI plugin runs on SoundFonts, and while incredibly annoying to change, the software can be “worth it” for people looking for something easier and more stable.
If you’re using Linux, I highly recommend the latest version of Audacious with the plugin collection with FluidSynth support compiled in. Your Linux distro may include an older version of Audacious and/or lack the FluidSynth SoundFont support (both are true for Slackware). Regardless, I suggest getting the latest version and compiling from source.

DONNIE RUSSELL’S CLASSICROGUE: A long time ago Donnie Russell began development of ClassicRogue, which was a remake of Rogue for the PC and Slackware Linux that includes sounds, menus, and other "modern" features. Donnie has also made a port to the Game Boy Advance, a tile-based version, and a playable-online Flash version of the game, all available on his Web site.
ClassicRogue for PC and Slackware was taken off of his Web site due to his desire to focus on the Flash version. This version is no longer updated or distributed. However, I have spoken with Donnie and he has allowed me to make the PC version (with source code) available for download on my site. (Screenshot) (Download)

SCOPAFREE, TRACKWORDS, SOLITUDE: These are three freeware games, made by David Bernazzani in 1999. ScopaFree is an implementation of the Italian card game Scopa, TrackWords is a Boggle-style game, and Solitude is a collection of 91 solitaire games. These games became casualties of the shutting down of both Geocities and Winsite.
