Fortunately I like to keep at least one spare piece of hardware in case the one I have breaks. You might have heard me mention a 2003 Dell computer used for emergencies.

I don’t know who owned this 4:3 monitor. Probably came free with a Dell computer my parents or sister must’ve bought at some point. It’s LCD but it isn’t widescreen. Two choices: 800×600 or 1024×768.

Very annoying. Windows are crammed and have to be resized. I’d have to reconfigure game settings and would rather wait for a widescreen to watch DVDs I just bought myself for Christmas.

Though I do see that xcopfly.com works with 4:3, as well as the “work-in-progress” version (not yet in a completely working state, but you can see my progress if you are clever enough to find how to turn it on And I guess that’s good.

A new monitor is on the way, probably tomorrow, weather permitting It’s LED backlit, and 16:9 rather than 16:10, gives me both DVI and an analog VGA port for the 2003 machine.

From personal experience I can tell you that these supplies are not only good for crafts, they are great for art as well. One of Stampin’ Up’s products, their “Stampin’ Write” box of 48 dual-tipped color markers, make for some great and very colorful pictures. Other supplies, such as their tapes and glues, have also been extremely helpful in the framing of my artwork.

Many of Stampin’ Up’s supplies are critical when something around the house breaks or rips apart.

went through a short bad phase for a while, something totally unlike me and not so good, but it’s over and i’m glad. everything is back to normal. oh so i always think about everything…

i’ll get back on volume iii pretty soon. i spent last night doing a backup, first time in a while. i won a contest taht took place all january, with one of the two bonuses. i tried last year, but didnt win. i even lost interest this month and disappeared for half of it, but when i got around to finishing i won and was very happy. (dont know if i’ll do it again next year.) but i thought i’d finish up the contest before i backed up my disk, but apparently i skipped two months. good thing i backed it up.

glad i can relax now. between the movies, the contest, art lessons, and everything else i was kind of in a jam where i had too much to do and it messed up my head. but, i got something coming in the mail on friday and hopefully the rest of it wont ship too much later. wacky weather over here, but the store which didnt ship yet is in ohio, so i’m not sure what they got. you cant use the thing without the other thing, but sometimes you gotta be smart and do things a slow way just in case.

i might start submitting columns to another blog. however, i havent written anything yet,.

aah shit the volume was low no wonder.

You may have also noticed that the calculator section was separated again. I plan on doing more programs under the X-Cop name, notably one of those quasi-RPG games popular with calculators where you buy gear and fight enemies (Hacker RPG, etc.). I want a medieval one which doesn’t suck or isn’t a memory hog. But right now I’m too much of a lazy ass. Stay tuned!
